A food industry in UAQ, UAE is looking for a Quality Controller -food with the following:

Job Responsibilties

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine testing of food products for quality attributes, including taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements, including FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other industry standards.
  • Monitor and verify adherence to food safety procedures, such as sanitation protocols and temperature controls.
  • Document and report quality findings, deviations from standards, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to enhance quality standards and implement continuous improvements.
  • Perform daily inspections of production lines to verify compliance with quality control procedures and safety protocols.
  • Address non-conformances, coordinate product recalls if required, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Support internal and external audits, including compliance assessments for food safety certifications (e.g., SQF, BRC).
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including test results, inspection reports, and compliance records.
  • Monitor product shelf life and assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within the food industry, preferably in [specific type of food production].
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and relevant industry certifications.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify and address quality issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
