Food Quality Controller Bahrain location wanted at a leading food app company in Bahrain, Middle East.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspect all stages of the production cycle—from raw material procurement to final product delivery—to ensure efficiency and adherence to Food Safety and Quality standards.
  • Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications through visual inspection and measurements; reject and return materials that do not meet the required standards.
  • Approve in-process products by checking compliance with specifications, conducting tests, and coordinating necessary adjustments with relevant department heads.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of testing activities, inspection results, sanitation reports, and quality metrics such as daily defect rates.
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance; report any issues related to equipment functionality or maintenance.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products using appropriate techniques (e.g., dimensional measurements, functionality testing, and visual comparisons to specifications).
  • Conduct regular training sessions to raise staff awareness of Food Safety and Quality best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Management System.
  • Investigate customer complaints thoroughly, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to address non-conformities.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports and quality summaries to the line manager.

Job Qualiifcations

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a Quality Control or similar role within the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Must hold a minimum of HACCP Level 3 Certification.
  • Hands-on experience with quality testing tools, machines, and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Confident, detail-oriented, and team-friendly personality.
  • Knowledgeable about food safety regulations as set by the Municipality and Ministry of Health (MOH).
