Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct Routine Audits & Inspections
    Perform regular GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), traceability, and fabrication audits on both meat and non-meat ingredients to ensure adherence to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Measurement Equipment Calibration
    Ensure the accuracy of weighing scales, temperature probes, and other critical measuring devices through timely calibration and record-keeping.
  • Sample Collection for Testing
    Collect microbiological samples, water samples, and environmental swabs in accordance with food safety protocols to support proactive hygiene and contamination control measures.

  • Production Line Monitoring
    Observe and assess production processes to verify that products meet food safety, quality, and customer specification requirements.
  • Taste Panel Coordination
    Organise and participate in daily taste panels, ensuring objective product evaluation. Log and analyse results using Excel to identify trends or issues.
  • Documentation & Foreign Body Control Audits
    Review production records and audit procedures related to foreign body prevention. Conduct regular glass and hard plastic audits to maintain a high level of control over physical hazards.

Job Qualifcations-Food Quality Auditor UK

  • Relevant Experience or Education:
    Previous experience in a quality or technical role within a food manufacturing environment, or a degree in a food-related discipline.
  • Food Safety & Quality Knowledge:
    A solid understanding of HACCP principles, food safety legislation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong Communication & Attention to Detail:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify non-conformances swiftly and accurately.
  • Adaptability to Cold Working Environments:
    Comfortable working in chilled conditions as this role involves auditing in a meat-based production site.
  • Flexible Working Hours:
    Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on operational needs.
  • Independence & Organisation:
    Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
