An educational Institution in Dubai UAE is hiring a Food Quality Assurance Officer with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Food Safety and Quality Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality’s food safety and quality standards.
    • Conduct routine inspections of food storage, preparation, and serving areas.
    • Implement HACCP, ISO, and GMP standards in food operations as Food Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Vendor and Supplier Audits:
    • Evaluate and audit food suppliers for quality compliance.
    • Review supplier certifications and ensure adherence to agreements.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and incident reports.
    • Update and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Staff Training and Awareness:
    • Conduct training sessions for cafeteria staff on food safety and hygiene in Dubai Standards.
    • Promote awareness of food safety policies among all stakeholders.
  • Incident Management:
    • Investigate and resolve food-related complaints or incidents.
    • Report and liaise with regulatory bodies when necessary.
  • Quality Monitoring:
    • Perform sensory and physical tests on delivered food items.
    • Monitor food handling processes to prevent contamination and wastage.
  • Improvement Initiatives:
    • Recommend and implement strategies for continuous improvement in food quality and safety.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and food safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance, preferably in the education or food services sector.
  • Certifications:
    • HACCP Level 3 or higher (mandatory).
    • Certification in Food Safety from Dubai Municipality approved Trainersis an advantage.

  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP standards.
    • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    • Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced school educational environment.
    • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
