Food Quality and Hygiene Coordinator wanted at a leading Hotel and Hospitality Company in Manama, Bahrain, to support commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across all hotel operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Hygiene & Sanitation Programs
    Assist in implementing, monitoring, and improving hygiene and sanitation procedures across all food & beverage outlets, kitchens, and service areas.
  • Conduct Routine Inspections
    Perform regular hygiene inspections in kitchens, storage areas, receiving sections, stewarding areas, and public spaces to ensure compliance with internal standards and Bahrain health regulations.
  • Assist in HACCP Program Management
    Support the development, monitoring, and documentation of the HACCP system, ensuring records, logs, and forms are consistently updated and maintained.
  • Coordinate with Operational Teams
    Work closely with culinary, stewarding, and service teams to ensure proper cleaning practices, safe food handling, correct temperature control, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
  • Facilitate Training & Awareness
    Assist in preparing hygiene training materials and participate in training sessions to increase staff awareness on sanitation, food safety, pest control, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation
    Record findings from inspections and audits, track non-conformities, follow up on corrective actions, and maintain organized hygiene-related documentation.
  • Ensure Supplier & Storage Compliance
    Collaborate with receiving and purchasing departments to verify that suppliers follow proper hygiene guidelines and that delivered goods are handled and stored safely.
  • Stay Updated with Regulations
    Keep informed about Bahrain’s health and safety regulations, municipality requirements, and international best practices to ensure continuous compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify gaps in hygiene practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with multiple departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A positive, proactive mindset and a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field of hygiene and quality assurance.
