Food Production Supervisor wanted at a leading flavours and seasongs industry in RAK, UAE, with a Food Technology or Food Science background and with the following:
Job Responsibiliites
- Plan and execute daily and shift blending, batching, and seasoning formulations as per production schedules.
- Optimize production output while maintaining cost control, quality consistency, and on-time delivery.
- Manage allocation of mixers, ribbon blenders, liquid compounding tanks, sieving units, and automated/ semi-automated packing machines.
- Supervise and guide blenders, batch operators, flavor handlers, helpers, and packing crews.
- Conduct shift meetings, assign tasks, and ensure manpower and workflow planning.
- Train employees on SOPs, weighing procedures, allergen handling, batch documentation, and hygiene protocols.
- Implement and maintain SOPs for weighing, blending, sieving, sampling, sanitation, changeovers, metal detection, and cleaning.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, Halal requirements, allergen segregation, and UAE food regulatory standards.
- Safeguard production integrity when handling spices, flavor chemicals, natural extracts, seasonings, and sensitive food ingredients.
Food Production Supervisor – Rak
- Apply 5S, waste reduction, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and lean manufacturing principles to boost efficiency.
- Reduce downtime, improve batch accuracy, and minimize raw material losses.
- Perform daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) checks, including lubrication, cleaning, and equipment readiness.
- Work closely with the Engineering team on preventive maintenance, safety lockout-tagout, and troubleshooting recurring equipment issues.
- Enforce FIFO/FEFO for all raw materials (spices, herbs, flavor chemicals) and packaging.
- Monitor CCPs such as metal detection, allergen segregation, sieve validation, and batch verification.
- Support quality investigations and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for deviations or customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate shift reports covering output, waste, downtime, batch performance, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to production KPIs including:
- Right-First-Time (RFT)
- Batch accuracy
- OEE/Line efficiency
- Waste reduction
- Food safety audit performance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in seasonings, flavor blending, spice mixing, food ingredients, or food manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Allergen Control, BRCGS, FIFO/FEFO, and basic 5S practices.
- Must possess leadership ability with good communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems used in manufacturing.
- Willing to work in shift-based roles and in production-floor environments.
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE will be given preference.
