A Healthy Meal Plan Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Food and Safety Officer with the following:
Responsibilities
1. Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards during the packing process.
- Conduct regular inspections for proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products.
- Identify potential food safety hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations and industry best practices.
2. Quality Assurance
- Perform quality checks on packaging materials to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Verify product labels for accuracy, including ingredient lists, nutritional information, and allergen declarations.
- Work with the Quality Control team to resolve packaging-related quality issues.
3. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of packing processes, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Generate compliance reports, incident logs, and improvement recommendations.
- Communicate findings to relevant departments, management, and external auditors.
4. Training and Education
- Conduct training on food safety practices, packing techniques, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Educate employees on compliance protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance food safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new procedures, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in food packing, quality assurance, or food safety is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, USDA) and labeling requirements.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to apply regulations accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to train employees on food safety practices.
- Proficiency in computer software for record-keeping and reporting.
