A Hotel Group in Dubai UAE is looking for an EHS and Food Safety Officer with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), HACCP, and ISO 22000 standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory authority regulations.
  • Lead and promote a safety-focused culture, fostering a work environment that prioritizes the health and safety of both employees and guests.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections for EHS and Food Safety, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring all practices comply with standards.
  • Ensure the purchase, receipt, storage, preparation, processing, and serving of food comply with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Dubai Food Code.
  • Train and guide staff on the implementation, monitoring, verification, and documentation of HACCP, ISO 22000, EHS, and Food Watch systems.
  • Approve food and beverage suppliers by reviewing necessary documentation and conducting supplier audits at their facilities.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and hotel departments to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Review and update internal Food Safety and EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current regulations.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments and propose changes to management to enhance EHS and Food Safety policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Food Safety, HACCP, ISO standards, Sustainability, and Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in Four-star or Five-star hotels in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and maintaining EHS, HACCP, ISO 22000 standards, and local regulatory authority regulations.
  • Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with regulatory bodies and train team members.
  • Ability to lead and foster a safety-focused culture in a fast-paced environment.
