Dubai – Quality Controller Hygiene Officer to oversee bakery operations, food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance operations within our production facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all food products meet the highest quality standards and that hygiene practices comply with UAE food safety regulations and international standards such as HACCP and ISO.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct Routine Inspections:
Perform daily and scheduled inspections of production and storage areas to verify compliance with hygiene, GMP, and quality control requirements. - Sanitation and Hygiene Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor sanitation procedures, ensuring proper cleaning schedules and chemical usage in line with approved hygiene protocols. - Training and Awareness:
Conduct regular training sessions for food handlers and production staff on hygiene, sanitation, and personal safety practices to promote a strong food safety culture. - Food Safety Monitoring:
Supervise temperature control systems, food storage, and product handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity at all stages of processing.
- Quality Control Analysis:
Review production samples, raw materials, and finished goods for compliance with product specifications. Identify quality deviations and coordinate immediate corrective actions. - Microbiological and Chemical Testing:
Conduct or supervise laboratory testing for microbiological and chemical parameters to verify that products meet food safety and quality standards. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain complete and accurate records of inspections, testing results, corrective actions, and staff training logs for audit and regulatory review. - Incident Investigation:
Investigate cases of non-conformance, contamination, or hygiene breaches. Prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures to minimize future risks. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant food safety standards. Stay informed on updates to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. - Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, product quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. - Certifications:
HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management System certification preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, catering, or hospitality sectors, with proven supervisory or quality control experience.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication and training skills to guide staff effectively.
- Proficient in documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance reporting.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage. - Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in fast-paced production environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by operational needs.
