An Export Industry for Dehydrated Vegetables and Spices is looking for a Quality Controller for their Coimbatore – Tamil Nadu Location with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw materials including vegetables, fruits, spices, herbs, and packaging materials to ensure compliance with quality specifications and food safety standards
  • Monitor and control in-process quality during dehydration, spray drying, grinding, blending, and packing operations
  • Conduct routine quality checks on finished products such as moisture content, particle size, color, aroma, taste, and foreign matter
  • Ensure compliance with international food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, BRC, and GMP requirements
  • Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and prerequisite programs (PRPs) as per the food safety management system.

  • Verify hygiene, sanitation, and personal practices across production, storage, and packing areas
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, batch documentation, and test results for audits and certifications for Export-Oriented Food Manufacturing.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits by providing required quality documentation and evidence
  • Identify quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints and assist in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure consistent product quality
  • Ensure proper product labeling, traceability, and compliance with export and customer requirements
  • Assist in supplier evaluation and raw material quality approval processes.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dehydrated foods, spices, herbs, or spray-dried products.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP principles, GMP, GHP, and hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with export documentation and international food safety compliance requirements
  • Ability to conduct basic quality and Chemical laboratory tests relevant to food products.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
