QA In-Charge specializing in milk analysis and dairy quality assurance wanted at a leading Dairy Industry in Agra India – to oversee quality control operations across multiple milk collection points and dairy procurement centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and hygienic handling of raw milk throughout the dairy supply chain, from milk collection at village-level centers to transportation and processing.
This role involves milk testing, laboratory analysis, food safety compliance, quality monitoring, and implementation of GMP, GHP, and GLP standards across milk collection centers (MCCs), Bulk Milk Coolers (BMCs), and Milk Pooling Points (MPPs).
The selected candidate will work closely with procurement teams, laboratory analysts, supervisors, and field staff to ensure that only high-quality milk meeting regulatory and company standards enters the dairy processing system.
Job Responsibilities
Milk Quality Testing & Laboratory Analysis
- Conduct and supervise routine milk analysis including fat testing, SNF testing, MBRT test, acidity test, adulteration detection, and microbial analysis.
- Ensure proper use and calibration of milk analyzers, lactometers, Gerber apparatus, and other dairy laboratory equipment.
- Monitor milk quality parameters to detect adulteration, contamination, or spoilage in raw milk.
- Maintain laboratory records for milk analysis results and quality monitoring reports.
Dairy Quality Control Management
- Oversee quality assurance activities across Milk Collection Centers (MCCs), Milk Pooling Points (MPPs), and Bulk Milk Coolers (BMCs).
- Ensure hygienic handling of milk throughout the dairy value chain including collection, storage, chilling, and transportation.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for milk sampling, testing, and storage.
- Ensure proper cold chain management for raw milk transportation.
Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance
- Implement and monitor GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GHP (Good Hygiene Practices), and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) in milk testing laboratories and collection centers.
- Ensure compliance with national food safety regulations and dairy quality standards.
- Monitor sanitation and hygiene practices in milk collection facilities.
- Maintain documentation required for food safety audits and regulatory inspections.
- Identify deviations in milk quality parameters or hygiene standards.
- Prepare quality deviation reports and root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avoid recurrence of quality issues.
- Monitor improvement plans for milk suppliers and collection centers.
Training & Team Development
- Conduct quality assurance and milk testing training sessions for field staff, supervisors, and laboratory technicians.
- Educate milk collection personnel on best practices for milk hygiene and adulteration prevention.
- Provide guidance on proper milk sampling and testing techniques.
- Maintain detailed documentation for milk quality reports, laboratory test results, and inspection records.
- Generate periodic reports on milk quality trends, adulteration risks, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with management regarding quality improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifiations
- Strong knowledge of milk chemistry and dairy microbiology
- Hands-on experience with milk analyzers and dairy laboratory testing
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, GLP, and food safety standards
- Experience managing milk procurement quality operations
