Business Intelligence dept. of Amazon Jobs in Riyadh, KSA is hiring a Quality Specialist with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Fresh Food Quality Inspection:
    • Inspect and assess the quality of perishable goods, including Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, and Eggs during inbound processes at Amazon stores, hubs, and supplier facilities- Business Intelligence.
    • Reject defective or damaged products to maintain Amazon’s ultra-high quality standards.
    • Record and report rejected items by product type, vendor, and quantity for traceability.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance:
    • Audit product quality during the picking and packing stages.
    • Ensure packaging complies with food safety standards to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness.
    • Perform daily audits of storage bins and compile accurate quality reports for internal teams.
  • Team Training & SOP Implementation:
    • Train store and warehouse staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality benchmarks, and packaging guidelines.
    • Promote food hygiene and quality assurance practices in line with global and local food safety standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders including In-stock Managers, Vendor Managers, Store Operations, and Fulfillment Partners.
    • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance fresh product availability, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Prepare and share daily/weekly quality control reports with stakeholders.
    • Attend quality review meetings and contribute insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Flexibility & Commitment:
    • Willing to work weekends, ensuring total weekly work hours do not exceed 40.
    • Open to taking on additional responsibilities and traveling to vendor locations if required.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Certifications: HACCP, PIC Level 3 (SFDA Certified), ISO 22000, GMP, or Highfield Level 4 in Food Safety.
  • Knowledge of fresh produce specifications and handling practices for Meat, Seafood, Fruits, and Vegetables.
  • Familiarity with Saudi fresh produce markets (e.g., Al Kharj, Taif, Tabuk).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for reporting and data management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Hiring : Quality Executive – FSMS
  • Experience in food quality control, food safety, or fresh produce handling in a retail or distribution environment.
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • Experience reporting to or working with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Arabic is a plus for effective communication with local vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented approach, and a passion for food safety and customer satisfaction, Business Intelligence for amazon jobs.
