Biotechnology Research Assistant for a leading Sustainable Vertical Farming Solutions Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE, a Biotechnology Research Assistant to support ongoing research, technology evaluation, and investment analysis in the rapidly growing fields of food technology, nutraceutical innovation, and agri-tech solutions. This role is ideal for recent biotechnology graduates who are passionate about sustainable agriculture, functional foods, and future-ready food systems in vertical farming solutions.
Job Responsibilities – Biotechnology Research Assistant
- Conduct comprehensive biotech research and literature reviews on food technology, nutraceutical products, biotechnology applications, and agri-tech innovations relevant to sustainable farming and nutrition.
- Monitor and analyze global and regional industry trends, including emerging startups, new product developments, scientific breakthroughs, and investment movements within the food biotech and nutraceutical sectors.
- Collect, organize, and validate technical, scientific, and market data from credible sources such as research journals, industry reports, patents, and startup databases.
- Prepare well-structured research briefs, technical summaries, and internal reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
- Support data analysis and comparative evaluations to assist with technology assessment and investment decision-making.
- Assist in benchmarking technologies, products, and companies against industry standards and sustainability goals.
- A Biotechnology Research Assistant must maintain organized research documentation, databases, and knowledge repositories for ongoing and future projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support research-driven strategies related to sustainable vertical agriculture, food innovation, and nutraceutical development.
Qualifications – Biotech Research
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology or a closely related life sciences discipline
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of academic or research experience are encouraged to apply for Biotechnology Research Assistant.
- Strong interest in food technology, nutraceuticals, sustainable agriculture, and agri-business innovation.
- Good research methodology, scientific writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical data, research papers, and market insights
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and presentation tools
- Full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi
- Preference for candidates currently residing in Abu Dhabi or within the UAE
