Biotechnology Executive is wanted at a leading Pharma Company in Gujarat, India, with the following: supporting biopharmaceutical research and development activities. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology, recombinant protein expression, and cell line development. The position offers exposure to therapeutic protein production, monoclonal antibody (mAb) development, and technology transfer in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Job Responsibilities – Biotechnology Executive
- Perform hands-on laboratory work in mammalian cell culture and microbial cell culture for biopharmaceutical development projects.
- Execute recombinant protein expression and purification using E. coli and yeast expression systems.
- Apply advanced molecular biology techniques, including molecular cloning, primer designing, expression vector construction, and genetic characterization.
- Support CHO cell line development, including generation of stable monoclonal cell lines for monoclonal antibody (mAb) and therapeutic protein production.
- Conduct single-cell cloning, clone screening, and fed-batch culture studies to improve productivity and process performance.
- Prepare, maintain, and characterize cell banks such as RCB, MCB, WCB, and EPCB in compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, CROs, and CDMOs for technology transfer and process execution.
- Design experiments, analyze results, and troubleshoot process development challenges in upstream bioprocessing.
- As a Biotechnology Executive ensure strict adherence to SOPs, GxP guidelines, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
- Maintain complete and compliant documentation using Laboratory Notebooks (LNB) and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN).

- Strong knowledge of biotechnology, biopharmaceutical development, and molecular biology.
- Hands-on experience in therapeutic protein expression, purification, and characterization.
- Expertise in CHO cell culture, microbial fermentation, and upstream process development.
- Familiarity with recombinant DNA technology, cell banking, and monoclonal antibody production.
- Understanding of technology transfer, regulatory documentation, and GMP-compliant laboratory practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and scientific documentation skills.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotech R&D environments.
- Exposure to GMP, GLP, or GxP-regulated laboratories as a Biotechnology Executive.
