Biotechnologist – Lab Technician – Food and Water

A Biotech Company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a Biotechnologist – Lab Technician – Food and Water Testing with the following :

Job Responsibilities

• Collect food, water, and environmental samples from client sites (factories, restaurants, hotels, schools, water treatment plants, etc.) in line with standard procedures and laboratory protocols.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, storage, and transportation of collected samples to maintain sample integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of sampling activities, including location, date, time, and type of samples collected.

• Operate and maintain sampling equipment, ensuring calibration and cleanliness before and after use.
• Coordinate with clients and laboratory staff to schedule sample collection efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to hygiene, safety, and regulatory guidelines during sampling and transportation.
• Prepare field reports and submit documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality assurance, biosafety procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Provide support to laboratory staff in sample preparation, when required in biotech companies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote biotechnology innovations that contribute to global sustainable development goals and improve quality of life.
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with ISO, HACCP, and local authority standards.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science, or any Life Science-related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in laboratory work or sample collection (preferred but not mandatory), or in biotech companies.
• Valid UAE Driving License – mandatory requirement.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and water quality testing standards.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively across sites for daily sample collection.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Physically fit to handle fieldwork and sample transportation.
