Bakery Food Safety Trainer
Bakery Food Safety Trainer wanted to support its growing operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs related to food safety, hygiene, and operational standards within the bakery production environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all employees are trained to meet both internal quality requirements and global food safety standards.
You will play a key role in building a culture of safety and compliance across the facility by working closely with cross-functional teams, conducting training sessions, developing learning materials, and driving continuous improvement in workforce competencies.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct in-person and on-the-job training sessions for new and existing employees focused on operational standards, food hygiene, workplace safety, and behavioral expectations.
Ensure that all bakery staff understand and comply with company standards for personal hygiene, proper uniform use, grooming, and safe work practices.
Train staff on essential tools and principles such as 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), ensuring a clean, efficient, and well-organized workplace.
Deliver regular training programs on food safety systems and certifications such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ISO standards.
Ensure operational teams understand global food safety requirements and know how to implement them in their daily activities.
Reinforce the importance of food defense, allergen control, traceability, and contamination prevention in bakery production areas.
Design and continuously improve training materials including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), visual work instructions, job aids, and employee handbooks.
Customize training resources to reflect local regulatory requirements, cultural understanding, and site-specific processes.
Use visual aids, video, hands-on demonstrations, and multilingual resources to ensure clarity and inclusiveness.Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Production, Human Resources (HR), and Safety teams to identify employee skill gaps and prioritize training needs.Participate in internal audits, inspections, and investigations to identify recurring issues and address them through targeted training.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
Maintain training records and reports, tracking attendance, assessment results, and progress of individual employees.
Conduct post-training evaluations to measure effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and revise content accordingly.
Recommend corrective or refresher training based on observed performance or non-conformances during audits.
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Training, Food Safety, or a related discipline is preferred.Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in a training, quality, or food safety role within the food manufacturing, bakery, FMCG, or industrial production sectors.Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of food safety systems and compliance standards including HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, and ISO 22000.
Knowledge and practical application of 5S principles, hygiene practices, workplace ergonomics, and food defense strategies.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage learners at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic learning management systems (LMS).
Ability to develop training materials and adapt delivery methods for diverse audiences.
