Bahrain Hotel Industry is hiring a Hygiene Officer with Food Science or Food Safety background experience

Job Responsibilities

Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance

  • Implement and uphold HACCP principles across all food handling areas.
  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections and internal audits in F&B outlets, kitchens, and storage areas.
  • Monitor personal hygiene practices, equipment sanitation, and food handling processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with Bahrain’s food safety laws and Accor hygiene standards.

Training & Awareness

  • Design and deliver comprehensive food safety and hygiene training for relevant hotel staff.
  • Promote a strong hygiene culture through continuous learning and awareness programs.
  • Maintain detailed training records and ensure staff certifications are up to date.
  • experienced Hygiene and Food Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety and sanitation are consistently upheld across the property. This role is crucial to protecting guest health, maintaining brand reputation, and complying with local and international hygiene standards. You will play a key role in auditing, training, and continuously improving hygiene practices.
Trainings for a Food Safety Officer !

Sanitation & Pest Control

  • Supervise sanitation procedures and ensure all areas are clean, disinfected, and well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with external pest control partners to manage and monitor pest activity.
  • Oversee effective waste disposal systems and cleanliness of back-of-house operations.

Incident Management & Reporting

  • Investigate hygiene-related incidents and complaints, identifying root causes and corrective measures.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inspections, follow-up actions, and audit results.
  • Escalate any food safety risks or non-compliance issues to hotel leadership promptly.

Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Liaise with culinary, stewarding, and F&B service teams to maintain and improve hygiene standards.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, new food safety regulations, and sanitation technologies.
  • Support sustainable hygiene and waste reduction initiatives across hotel operations.

Job Qualifications -Bahrain Hotel- Hygiene Officer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar position within the luxury hospitality sector like a Hotel and Restaurant Food Safety Training.
  • HACCP certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of local and international food safety regulations (Qatar/GCC).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training delivery skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
