A leading Food Manufacturing Company in Kerala, India, is looking for an Associate – Food Quality Assurance with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and continuously upgrade Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Verify, inspect, and document compliance of Raw Materials (RM), Semi-Finished Goods (SFG), Finished Goods (FG), and Packaging Materials (PM) against approved specifications.
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, GHP, SOPs, and recommend updates or amendments wherever improvements are required.
- Conduct daily quality inspections, internal audits, and cross-functional audits; track non-conformities and ensure timely closure with documented corrective actions.
- Monitor Food Safety Objectives, analyze performance trends, and report periodic quality metrics to the QA leadership team.

- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality deviations, customer complaints, or incidents and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support product recall procedures and participate in market quality assurance and surveillance programs.
- Verify and maintain records for calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment as per defined schedules.
- Supervise and document pest control programs, plant fumigation activities, and hygiene monitoring.
- Carry out testing and analysis as per sampling and testing plans, report deviations, and initiate corrective actions.
- Place QA holds on non-conforming materials, prepare utilization or disposition plans, and drive RCA and CAPA processes.
- Conduct shopfloor training on hygiene practices, quality procedures, and food safety awareness; evaluate training effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external regulatory and certification bodies such as EIA, Spices Board, and other authorities as instructed by the Manager – QA.
- Participate in R&D trials, new product development support, and process improvement initiatives.
- Execute process audits, prepare detailed improvement reports, and support operational excellence programs.
- Perform organoleptic evaluation, chemical testing, and microbiological analysis as per approved methods.
- Monitor product handling, storage, and dispatch practices to ensure compliance with food industry standards.
- Verify that CCPs, OPRPs, and PRPs are effectively implemented and consistently meet quality standards.
Job Qualification
BSc or MSc in Agriculture !
