Amazon – Quality Specialist – role involves on-ground inspection, vendor collaboration, continuous process improvement, and cross-functional coordination to enhance product quality, minimize damage and spoilage, and boost customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational execution, attention to detail, and communication skills to support daily quality operations and long-term improvement strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and other perishable items at inbound points (Amazon stores, vendor sites, and hubs).
  • Reject non-compliant, damaged, or expired items and ensure proper documentation of returns, categorized by item, quantity, and vendor.
  • Audit the picking and packing processes executed by Last Mile and Fulfillment associates to ensure adherence to product handling standards.

  • Monitor and enforce Amazon’s packaging protocols to maintain product integrity and minimize damage during transit.
  • Conduct daily bin audits and compile detailed quality reports for stakeholders, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver training and coaching sessions to store and hub associates on quality control procedures, product standards, SOPs, and packaging practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with internal teams including Instock, Vendor Management, and Fulfillment Operations to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
  • Support weekend operations as required, ensuring a 40-hour work week is maintained.

  • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to fast-paced operational environments.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia to vendor locations and farms as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Fluent in Arabic (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

BRCGS Audits – Do it right!
  • Certified in HACCP, Person In Charge (PIC Level 3), or equivalent (SFDA / Highfield Level 4 Food Safety).
  • Familiar with GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety audit practices.
  • Sound knowledge of Fresh Produce & Meat quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Saudi produce sourcing markets (e.g., Riyadh’s Al Kharj Market, Taif, Tabuk farms).

Preferred Qualifications – Amazon – Quality Specialist

  • Experience in online grocery or e-commerce retail operations as Amazon – Quality Specialist.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Google Analytics, or basic HTML for dashboarding and reporting.
