Amazon Dubai is hiring a Quality Specialist with the following experience in food industry, HACCP experience and PIC level training:
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily quality checks for Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and other perishable items during the inbound process at Amazon stores, hubs, and vendor locations.
- Identify and reject damaged or substandard items, ensuring that only products meeting Amazon’s specifications enter our supply chain.
- Maintain detailed records of rejected items, documenting them by product, vendor, and quantity.
- Perform ongoing audits of the picking and packing processes carried out by LPC (Last Mile Process) associates to verify adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with packaging standards to maintain product integrity during storage and delivery.
- Perform daily bin audits and prepare comprehensive daily and weekly quality reports to share with relevant stakeholders.
- Deliver training sessions for store and hub associates on quality control procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best practices in handling and packaging perishable goods.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing quality-related losses.
- Be flexible to work during weekends as required, ensuring total working hours do not exceed 40 hours per week.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
- Certifications in HACCP, Dubai Municipality PIC Level 3, ISO 22000, GMP, or other recognized food safety standards.
- In-depth knowledge of quality specifications for fresh produce, with familiarity with Dubai’s Al Aweer Central Fruit and Vegetable Market.
- Previous experience in a quality control or food safety role within the retail grocery or perishable goods sector.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced supply chain or e-commerce environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs for large teams.
- Experience in process improvement, audits, and compliance monitoring.
