Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Web Content Specialist at FoodTechSafety. The Web Content Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing web content, analyzing web data, developing content strategies, and ensuring effective content management practices.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Optimization:
- Develop, edit, and publish SEO-rich web content tailored to the food safety and technology industry.
- Ensure the website content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with FoodTechSafety.com’s brand voice.
- Website Management:
- Regularly update website pages, including blog posts, job listings, and resources, to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Monitor website performance and suggest improvements to enhance user experience (UX).
- SEO Strategy Implementation:
- Perform keyword research and integrate high-ranking keywords into content to increase website traffic.
- Analyze and optimize website content to improve search engine rankings.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Use tools like Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates.
- Generate reports to evaluate content performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborations and Content Planning:
- Coordinate with the FoodTechSafety.com team to develop a content calendar for blog posts, updates, and campaigns.
- Stay updated on trends in food safety and technology to create timely and relevant content.
- Social Media Integration:
- Repurpose website content for social media platforms to drive traffic and engagement.
- Work with social media managers to align content strategies across platforms.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Food Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in web content writing, editing, or management, preferably in the food safety or technology sectors.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research tools, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website optimization techniques.
- Creative and Analytical Skills:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable content strategies.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with food safety, sustainability, and technological advancements in the food industry.
- Awareness of compliance and regulatory standards related to food technology and safety.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Skills
