This is a part-time remote role for a Content Specialist at FoodTechSafety. The Content Specialist will be responsible for communication, web content writing, content strategy, writing, and content management. Day-to-day tasks include creating engaging and informative content, developing content strategies, and managing online content.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation: Develop high-quality, SEO-optimized content for the FoodTechSafety website, including blog posts, articles, white papers, and social media updates.
  2. Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to define and execute content strategies that align with the company’s goals and target audience.
  3. Research: Stay updated on the latest trends in food safety, food technology, and food sustainability to create relevant and engaging content.
  4. Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  5. Social Media Management: Manage the content calendar and publish regular updates on social media platforms to drive engagement and increase website traffic.
  6. SEO Optimization: Use keyword research tools and analytics to optimize content for search engines, improving the website’s ranking and visibility.
  7. Content Audits: Conduct regular content audits to ensure accuracy, relevance, and up-to-date information across the website.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with the web development team, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive content that enhances the user experience.
  9. Analytics and Reporting: Track content performance using web analytics tools and provide insights to improve content effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Specialization in Food Science or Food Technology is a plus.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in content writing, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably within the food safety, technology, or sustainability industry.
  3. SEO Knowledge: Proven experience with SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization for search engines.
  4. Technical Writing Skills: Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex food safety and technology concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  5. Digital Marketing Tools: Proficiency in using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), social media management tools, and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
  6. Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  7. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  8. Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  9. Passion for the Industry: A deep interest in food safety, food technology, or food sustainability is essential.
