Quality Control & Assurance Officer for a chocolate manufacturing facility in Dubai. QC assurance Officer will be responsible for ensuring food safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, implementing HACCP systems, and supporting ISO and Halal certification requirements.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in food manufacturing, particularly in chocolate or confectionery production, and a solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO food safety systems, and Halal compliance.
Job Responsibilites
- Implement, monitor, and maintain the HACCP system throughout all stages of chocolate manufacturing, ensuring effective identification and control of food safety hazards.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure proper documentation of all CCP records in compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements for food manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, or other applicable ISO food safety management systems.
- Prepare the facility and documentation for external certification audits and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, work instructions, and food safety documentation.Ensure Halal compliance in raw material sourcing, ingredient verification, storage, processing, and finished product handling.
- Coordinate and support Halal certification audits and maintain proper Halal documentation records.Perform daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections across production, storage, and packaging areas.
- Monitor hygiene standards, sanitation procedures, cleaning schedules, and pest control programs within the chocolate production facility.Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished chocolate products to ensure quality consistency.
- Perform sampling, quality checks, and testing procedures as per company quality control protocols.Identify non-conforming products, segregate affected batches, and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, deviation logs, and corrective action documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports for management review.Provide food safety and hygiene training to production staff to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and food safety performance.
Job Qualifications
HACCP Level 3 Certification (mandatory). Proven experience in food manufacturing (chocolate or confectionery preferred), Strong knowledge of ISO food safety systems.Experience supporting Halal audits and complianceIn-depth understanding of GMP and hygiene standards. Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
