Food Safety Officer – Hospitality vacnacy in a leading Hospitality ompany in Dubai, UAE to support and strengthen Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety (HSE & FS) systems within a hospitality environment. The role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting sustainable and responsible operations in alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 26000 standards.
The Food Safety Officer will play a key role in implementing food hygiene standards, conducting inspections, supporting audits, and ensuring continuous improvement in workplace health, safety, and environmental performance across all hospitality facilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce a positive HSE and food safety culture by ensuring employee awareness, compliance with safety policies, and active participation in safety and hygiene initiatives.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE, food safety, and hygiene policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility).
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, food safety risk analysis, and incident investigations to proactively identify potential risks within hospitality operations.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities, prevent recurrence of incidents, and drive continual improvement in HSE and food safety systems.

- Deliver HSE and food safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees at all levels, ensuring competence and compliance with food hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations, supporting legal compliance across all hospitality outlets.
- Track, analyse, and report HSE and food safety performance indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, with a focus on environmental performance and sustainability goals.
- Conduct regular site inspections, internal audits, and hygiene assessments of facilities, kitchens, equipment, and processes to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and regulatory gaps.
- Investigate workplace accidents, food safety incidents, and near-miss events, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions in alignment with ISO 45001 requirements.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and operational support to management and staff on daily health, safety, hygiene, and food safety matters.
- Stay updated on emerging food safety laws, hospitality regulations, HSE trends, and best practices, ensuring timely integration into company policies and procedures.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and environmentally responsible practices aligned with ISO 14001.
- Coordinate with third-party auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities during inspections and audits, ensuring documentation, records, and compliance evidence are properly maintained.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Food Safety, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant HSE or food safety certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, HACCP, ISO Lead/Internal Auditor, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Equivalent practical experience in HSE and food safety roles within hospitality, catering, or food service environments may be considered.
Experience – Food Safety Officer
- Basic to intermediate understanding of HSE, food safety, and hygiene regulations applicable to the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles, food hygiene standards, workplace safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain safety procedures and engage employees in food safety initiatives.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HSE or food safety reporting tools, incident management systems, or risk assessment software.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
