Hiring a Food Technologist – Agro Products vacancy for a agro products manufacturing facility in Calicut, Kerala. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for candidates with a strong background in food technology, quality control, laboratory testing, and product development. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring food safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and innovation across an agro-based food products.

The Food Technologist will work closely with production, quality assurance, R&D, and regulatory teams to maintain high-quality standards and support the development of safe, nutritious, and market-ready food products.
Job Responsibilities
Quality Control & Food Safety
- Monitor and control food quality and safety parameters throughout the production process.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
- Conduct routine quality checks, audits, and inspections to maintain consistent product standards.
- Identify quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Perform laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished agro products.
- Handle and maintain food testing equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Prepare testing reports, maintain accurate documentation, and analyze results for quality improvement.
- Support shelf-life studies and product stability testing.
Sensory Evaluation
- Conduct sensory evaluation tests to assess taste, aroma, texture, color, and overall acceptability.
- Ensure consistency in product sensory attributes across batches.
- Participate in panel testing and sensory trials for new and existing products.
Research & Development (R&D)
- Contribute to new product development and innovation in agro-based food products.
- Improve existing product formulations for better quality, nutrition, and cost efficiency.
- Support product trials, pilot runs, and scale-up activities.
- Stay updated on food technology trends, ingredients, and processing techniques.
- Work closely with production, procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory teams.
- Assist in optimizing formulations and production processes.
- Support regulatory documentation and product approvals when required.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of food technology principles and food processing techniques.
- Proficiency in sensory evaluation methods and product quality assessment.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, food analysis, and quality control procedures.
- Understanding of food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience or strong involvement in Research and Development (R&D) activities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for cross-department coordination.
