Food Product development Analyst wanted in a Food nad Beverage Retail Company in Chennai, India with the following:
Location: Chennai
Experience Required: 1–2 years
Industry Preference (Mandatory): Chocolate and Confectionery
Salary Package: As per industry standards and interview performance
Job Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end product development lifecycle for chocolate and confectionery products, from concept creation to commercial launch.
- Assist in new recipe formulation, ingredient trials, and prototype development in alignment with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality, consistency, and safety.
- Work closely with R&D, quality assurance, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth scale-up from lab to manufacturing.
- Analyze and optimize raw material usage, cost efficiency, and formulation stability without compromising product quality.
- Ensure all developed products comply with food safety standards, FSSAI regulations, labeling norms, and internal quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate product development documentation, including formulations, trial reports, specifications, and SOPs.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging ingredients in the chocolate and confectionery segment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, taste, texture, shelf life, and innovation.
Job Qualifications
- Educational Qualification:
- Preferably MSc or B.Tech in Food Technology, Food Processing, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in product development or R&D within the chocolate and confectionery industry (mandatory).
