Halal Auditor vacancy at a leading Food Safety Consultant Company in Dubai, UAE, with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct Halal audits for food manufacturing, processing, storage, distribution, slaughterhouses, catering, and restaurant facilities.
- Evaluate Halal Assurance Systems (HAS) including raw material sourcing, supplier approval, production line segregation, sanitation, and traceability.
- Verify ingredients, additives, flavorings, enzymes, and processing aids to ensure they comply with Islamic dietary laws and standards.
- Perform third-party audits based on HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, GHP, and other food safety management systems.
- Examine critical control points, hazard identification, allergen management, hygiene practices, and sanitation protocols at client sites.
- Ensure organizations follow UAE regulatory requirements (ESMA, Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority, etc.).
Documentation & Certification Processes Halal Auditor
- Prepare detailed audit findings, non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective actions, preventive actions (CAPA), and follow-up reports.
- Validate and approve Halal certificates, training records, traceability documentation, internal audits, SOPs, and product labeling.
- Support clients during certification, recertification, and surveillance audits by providing professional food safety and Halal guidance asHalal Auditor.
Consultation & Training
- Assist clients in developing and implementing Halal control plans, HACCP plans, prerequisite programs (PRPs), and ISO 22000 documentation.
- Conduct client training sessions on Halal awareness, Shariah compliance, food safety, hygiene, and traceability requirements.
- Advise businesses on Halal market regulations, export/import compliance, and GCC standards applicable to food production and processing.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Halal Auditor or Halal Certification Specialist, with hands-on third-party auditing in Halal, HACCP, and ISO 22000.
- Minimum 1 year experience with a recognized certification body, accreditation center, or auditing agency.
- Strong understanding of Halal food science, Islamic jurisprudence related to food, and cross-contamination risks.
Certifications & Training – Halal Auditor
- Must hold a recognized Halal Auditor/Assessor Certification (e.g., ESMA, GAC, EIAC, JAKIM, SMIIC, or equivalent).
- Certified in HACCP Level 3 or 4, ISO 22000 Lead Auditor, FSMS Training, or equivalent food safety qualifications.
- Additional qualifications like GMP, Food Defense, Food Fraud, FSSC 22000, Halal Internal Auditor are considered a plus.
- Muslim candidate only, with a strong understanding of halal, haram, mashbooh (doubtful), and permissible processing rules.
- Must hold a valid UAE Driving License, willing to travel for audits across all emirates.
- Good communication skills (English mandatory, Arabic preferred).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
