Food Safety Officer vacancy at Bahrain with food safety officer proffessionals having strong expertise in hospitality food safety standards to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will ensure that all hotel/restaurant operations meet the highest levels of hygiene, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure strict implementation of food safety and hygiene standards across all F&B outlets, kitchens, stewarding, room service, banqueting, and storage areas.
- Conduct daily kitchen walkthroughs, hygiene inspections, and GMP audits to verify compliance with HACCP and local regulations.
- Monitor food handling, preparation, cooking, cooling, and storage practices to ensure they meet approved safety standards.
- Maintain and update the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and ensure continuous compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Bahrain hygiene regulations.
- Coordinate and support government inspections, third-party audits, and certification renewal processes.
- Review and verify temperature logs, cleaning schedules, pest control activities, and calibration records.
- Lead Food Handler Training, hygiene orientations, and refresher sessions for culinary, service, and stewarding teams.
- Investigate food safety incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper allergen management, labeling, traceability, and supplier compliance for all incoming raw materials.
- Prepare and maintain documentation including audit reports, hygiene checklists, CCP monitoring sheets, and training records.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, Stewarding Manager, and Quality Team to drive continuous improvement in hygiene standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering companies as a Food Safety Officer or Hygiene Officer.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, buffet safety, banqueting procedures, and high-volume kitchen workflows.
- Professional certifications such as Food Safety Level 3/4, HACCP, or ISO 22000 training.
- Familiar with Bahrain food safety regulations, inspection requirements, and municipality standards.
- Excellent skills in auditing, documentation, training, and incident investigation.
- Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in fast-paced hospitality environments.
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
