Food Exports Industry in Kochi, India i looking for a Quality Executive with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of process deviations, product defects, and quality lapses to identify root causes.
  • Develop inspection and testing protocols for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, and packaging materials.
  • Create and implement sampling plans for routine and special quality checks.
  • Formulate product and process quality metrics and prepare detailed analytical reports.
  • Verify QC records, testing reports, and documentation for internal use and regulatory submissions.

Laboratory Operations

  • Establish SOPs and laboratory infrastructure requirements in line with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ensure proper calibration standards for laboratory equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Identify and investigate any technical issues affecting laboratory performance or equipment functionality.
  • Specify laboratory infrastructure, inspection requirements, and equipment needed for testing activities.

Documentation & SOP Management

  • Develop SOPs aligned with industry guidelines, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of testing activities, sampling plans, calibration data, and QC reports.
  • Review testing documentation to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Prepare guidelines for proper data documentation, analysis, and reporting practices.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Implement strategies to ensure the supply of safe, compliant, and high-quality food products.
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, production lines, and storage areas to ensure adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Lead quality and food safety audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
  • Oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Conduct traceability investigations to identify the source of non-conformities or product issues.

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Participate in QMS reviews and communicate quality and food safety policies across departments.
  • Establish conditions for proper handling, storage, and preservation of laboratory samples.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product safety, process efficiency, and compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the food processing industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in manual and automated performance and load testing.
  • Preferred: 8 years of total work experience and 8 years in Quality Management (as per employer preference).
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards, FSSAI regulations, audit procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies is an added advantage.
