A Fresh Produce Supplier and Processing Company in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine quality inspections on fresh produce, raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet defined specifications.
  • Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and sanitation standards within production and storage areas.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate QC documentation including batch records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), inspection reports, test results, and deviation logs.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments such as pH meters, moisture analysers, viscometers, refractometers, and other quality testing equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, and local UAE regulatory guidelines (Dubai Municipality, ESMA/BIS).
  • Identify and investigate quality deviations, non-conformities, or product complaints; recommend and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to maintain compliance across all product lines.
  • Assist in internal and external audits conducted by regulatory authorities and third-party certification bodies.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) by conducting stability studies, shelf-life assessments, and product trials to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of proven experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the fresh produce or FMCG food industry (exceptional fresh graduates may be considered).
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI/BIS, and UAE food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in operating laboratory testing equipment and using QC software for data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to production schedules.
  • Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE.
