A leading FMCG Company – Biscuit Factory is hiring a Product Development-R&D for Bengaluru, Karnataka with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end new product development (NPD) for cracker biscuits, including concept creation, formulation, bench-scale trials, pilot plant testing, and full-scale commercialization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, texture analysis, and shelf-life studies to validate product quality and consumer acceptance.
- Optimize formulations and processes to achieve cost-effectiveness, consistency, and superior taste profiles.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, food safety, and quality standards in all stages of development.
- Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Prepare detailed documentation of product formulations, trials, test results, and process improvements for record-keeping and regulatory purposes.
Job Qualifications
- Educational background: B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Processing Technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in new product development of cracker biscuits, with proven expertise in taking products from bench-top trials to commercial production.
- In-depth understanding of baking science, ingredient interactions, and large-scale biscuit manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve formulation or processing challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative R&D environment.
