Meal planning company in Dubai, UAE – Vacancy for a highly organised and detail-oriented Food Safety Officer / QA to lead compliance and quality assurance activities in our Dubai facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our kitchens and operations meet the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality, in line with UAE regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring full compliance with UAE Municipality regulations, HACCP requirements, and company standards.
 - Conduct routine inspections across all critical control points—receiving, storage, food preparation, packaging, and dispatch.
 - Ensure strict adherence to cleaning schedules, sanitation protocols, and pest control programs.
 - Enforce staff compliance with personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
 - Perform daily checks and maintain hygiene observation records in Meal planning.
 - Take immediate corrective actions in case of deviations, ensuring food safety risks are mitigated.
 
Quality Assurance
- Inspect raw materials, in-process food items, and finished products to verify quality standards are consistently met.
 - Oversee proper food labeling practices, including production and expiry dates, allergen labeling, and traceability.
 - Monitor storage and transport conditions (temperature, humidity, shelf life) to prevent non-conformities.
 - Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
 
Training & Development
- Deliver food safety and hygiene training to kitchen, production, and warehouse staff.
 - Conduct refresher sessions on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), cross-contamination prevention, allergen control, and cleaning protocols.
 - Foster a food safety culture by building staff awareness and accountability.
 - Maintain complete records of food safety activities, including temperature logs, hygiene checklists, pest control reports, and audit findings.
 - Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on food safety performance to management.
 - Support the preparation of documents required for inspections, certifications, and third-party audits.
 
Audits & Investigations
- Lead internal audits to verify FSMS implementation and readiness for external audits.
 - Collaborate with auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies during official assessments.
 - Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, or product recalls, and ensure timely resolution and closure of non-conformities.
 
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
 - 2–4 years’ proven experience in food safety or QA within food manufacturing, catering, or meal plan operations.
 - HACCP Level 3 certification or higher (mandatory).
 - In-depth knowledge of UAE food safety laws, Dubai Municipality requirements, HACCP, and GMP standards.
 - Hands-on experience monitoring staff hygiene, food handling practices, and enforcing compliance.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
 - Strong communication skills, with the ability to train, guide, and influence cross-functional teams.
 - Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
