Wanted an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance & Compliance to oversee and strengthen an FMCG- Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) systems in line with UAE regulations and international standards. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with proven expertise in food safety, compliance management, and continuous improvement processes within the food industry.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant QHSE experience in the UAE food industry.
  • Certifications: Approved Dubai Municipality Trainer for Basic Food Safety Training.
  • Standards Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ESG, and Sustainability Certifications.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with UAE GSO standards, ESMA, and Dubai Municipality regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and auditing (internal and supplier).
  • Training & Auditing: Demonstrated experience in training program development, internal & supplier audits, and certification management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Job Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Certification:
    • Implement, monitor, and maintain compliance with UAE/GSO regulations and international certification systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
    • Ensure all processes meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to food safety, occupational health & safety, and environmental sustainability.
    • Develop and implement preventive strategies to address potential non-compliances.
  • Training & Awareness:
    • Plan, design, and deliver QHSE training programs for employees at all levels.
    • Ensure training is updated with current industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions:
    • Lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformance reports.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Analyze and track QHSE performance metrics on a monthly basis.
    • Present detailed reports and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Auditing & Supplier Management:
    • Conduct internal and external supplier audits to ensure adherence to QHSE standards.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to improve compliance and quality standards.
  • Documentation & Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions.
    • Ensure document control systems meet certification and audit requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with operations, procurement, production, and management teams to drive QHSE improvement initiatives.
    • Support sustainability and ESG programs aligned with company goals.
