Food Safety Auditor – Consultant vacancy at a leading Food Safety Consultant and Training Company in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Food Safety Audits
    • Execute food safety audits in accordance with FSSR guidelines across diverse sectors including catering services, warehouses, food processing units, retail chains, and trading companies.
    • Ensure thorough evaluation of hygiene, sanitation practices, allergen control, temperature control, pest control, storage conditions, and operational compliance.
  • Customized Audits & Risk Assessment
    • Perform customized audits tailored to client-specific needs and operational risks.
    • Provide practical insights to help clients close gaps in hygiene, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Audit Reporting
    • Prepare and submit detailed audit reports within 2 working days of audit completion.
    • Highlight non-conformities, suggest corrective actions, and rate facilities based on compliance levels.
  • Client Coordination
    • Interact with clients and food safety teams to collect data, understand processes, and provide advisory where necessary.
    • Support clients during post-audit closure or corrective action implementation.

Qualifications -Food Safety Auditor – Consultant

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university:

  • Food Technology / Dairy Technology
  • Fisheries / Oil Technology
  • Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Chemistry
  • Agriculture / Veterinary Science
  • Hotel Management / Catering Technology

Training & Certifications -Food Safety Auditor

  • Successful completion of Accredited Lead Auditor Training in Food Safety Management Systems (ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000).
  • In-depth knowledge of FSSAI Act, Rules, and Regulations.
  • Familiarity with national and international food safety standards.

Professional Experience-FoodSafety Auditor – Conasultant

  • Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in the food industry or regulatory auditing.
  • Must have conducted at least 10 third-party food safety audits across relevant sectors.
  • Sector-specific expertise in hygiene and sanitary practices, allergen management, food processing, storage, and documentation control.
