Catering Industry -Senior HSE Officer wanted at Abu Dhabi UAE Location with the following HSE and Food Safety experiences and necessary trainings in HSE:
Job Responsibilites
- Compliance & Standards Monitoring:
Ensure strict adherence to international standards such as ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management), ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). - Local Regulatory Compliance:
Oversee compliance with local food safety and labor laws, including HACCP principles and guidelines set by municipal and health authorities. - Auditing & Inspections:
Conduct regular internal audits and hygiene inspections across all operational areas, including kitchens, storage facilities, and service points. Identify non-conformities and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Incident Management:
Lead investigations into any HSE incidents or near misses, carry out root cause analyses, and implement preventive and corrective actions to mitigate risks. - Training & Development:
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on food safety, hygiene practices, occupational safety, and emergency preparedness for all staff levels. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed QHSE records, including risk assessments, safety data sheets, inspection reports, and other regulatory documentation. - Performance Monitoring:
Compile and submit monthly reports on key QHSE performance indicators to senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement. - Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to continuously improve quality, safety, and environmental performance, leveraging Lean methodologies such as Kaizen wherever applicable. - Stakeholder Liaison:
Communicate and coordinate with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. - Audit Representation:
Represent the company during external audits, third-party inspections, and client HSE evaluations, ensuring a high level of preparedness and compliance.
Job Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field (Required) - Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of proven HSE experience in the catering, food & beverage, or hospitality industry (Required)
At least 3 years of experience in the UAE catering sector preferred.
- Certifications:
- HACCP Certification (Level 3) – Required
- Food Safety Certification (Level 4) – Required
- ISO 22000 Internal Auditor – Preferred
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification or equivalent – Preferred
- Strong knowledge of international and local food safety standards.
- Excellent auditing, reporting, and documentation skills
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Effective communication and training delivery skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
