A Flight Catering Company in Sharjah UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate, monitor, and ensure corrective & preventive actions for Critical Control Points in catering and F&B outlets.
- Supervise and control the daily implementation and effectiveness of company SOPs/OPRPs for continuous improvement.
- Execute product retention, recall, traceability, foreign object, and suspected food poisoning investigations with recommendations for prevention.
- Conduct internal and supplier audit inspections within catering units and F&B outlets.
- Evaluate adherence to product specifications and quality standards through weekly meal tastings, product weight checks, and daily quality checks at receiving.
- Verify and calibrate scales and thermometers according to the in-house calibration schedule.
- Assess new product testing before introduction.
Cleaning & Maintenance (Hygiene) Compliance
- Monitor in-house hygiene standards, including cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, and pest control, to ensure compliance.
Documentation Compliance
- Maintain and update records, including:
- Food Safety – CCPs, SOPs, OPRPs.
- Reporting – Supplier/customer non-conformance, daily reports, food wastage, temperature monitoring, foreign object tracker, laboratory reports, and special project feedback.
- Training – Organizing, conducting, and executing internal and external training programs.

Job Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food & Catering Technology or Life Sciences.
- Certifications:
- Level 3 – Intermediate HACCP Training.
- Level 4 – Advanced Food Safety Training.
- Preferred: UAE Driving License Holders.
