Responsibilities

  • Oversee adherence to local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
  • Implement industry best practices for a safe kitchen environment.
  • Regularly inspect kitchen facilities, equipment, and food prep areas.
  • Identify and resolve potential health and safety hazards promptly.
  • Develop and enforce robust food safety protocols.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure staff compliance with safety guidelines. Monitor staff personal hygiene practices.
  • Maintain sanitation standards per industry regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve reported food safety incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and incidents. Generate regular reports for management on safety performance and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Food and Safety Officer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
  • Strong communication and training abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Relevant certifications in food safety and sanitation.
