Gates Hospitality is Hiring a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of a European restaurant located in the prestigious DIFC, Dubai. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in a European dining setting. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure exceptional customer service, maintain high-quality standards, and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure all guests receive exceptional service, addressing any concerns or complaints swiftly and professionally.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the restaurant’s financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients.

  • Menu Development: Work closely with the chef and kitchen staff to maintain and improve the menu offerings.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with Dubai food safety and health regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events to attract new customers and retain regular patrons.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, analyzing performance and suggesting improvements.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with regular guests, enhancing the restaurant’s reputation and customer loyalty.

Job Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a European restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, health and safety standards.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience working in DIFC or similar high-end locations in Dubai.
  • Previous experience with fine dining or casual upscale dining.
