To ensure the quality of fruits and vegetables meets required standards from suppliers, during processing, and throughout packaging operations. The role involves addressing quality issues, conducting audits, and implementing quality improvement initiatives in line with HACCP and ISO standards.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance and Inspection:
    • Conduct thorough quality checks on fruits and vegetables received from suppliers.
    • Ensure all processing and packaging activities meet the required quality standards.
    • Monitor compliance with food safety and quality protocols.
  2. Problem Resolution:
    • Address quality issues promptly through collaboration with relevant teams.
    • Follow up with suppliers for credit notes and quality-related concerns.
  3. Audits and Compliance:
    • Conduct regular internal audits for food safety and quality assurance.
    • Organize documentation and facilities for external audits.
    • Initiate third-party audits as needed.

  1. Quality Improvement:
    • Develop and implement plans to improve product quality.
    • Maintain and update knowledge of HACCP and ISO standards.
    • Train staff on quality control processes and procedures.
  2. Reporting and Recordkeeping:
    • Submit detailed quality reports within 24 hours of inspections.
    • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
  3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.
  4. Additional Duties:
    • Perform other quality control tasks as required to support the team.

Job Qualifications

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Agriculture, or a related field (Required).
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum 6 years of quality control experience in the fruits and vegetables sector (Required).
    • Proven work experience in Aweer Fruits and Vegetable Market, Dubai (Required).
  3. Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and other food safety standards.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in reporting and maintaining quality records.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders.
