A Bakery Production Unit in Abu Dhabi UAE is looking for a Quality Controller with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure Product Quality: Conducts thorough inspections of bakery products to verify they meet predefined quality standards and specifications.
- Customer Complaint Investigation: Investigates customer complaints, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions to prevent future nonconformance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Compiles comprehensive reports, maintains accurate records of product quality status, and documents all tests and inspections.
- Food Testing and Scheduling: Oversees the implementation of food quality tests, ensuring timely testing according to an established schedule.
- Facility Cleanliness Inspection: Regularly inspects the bakery facility to ensure strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures ongoing compliance with local and international quality, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Collaborates with external auditors during site audits, providing necessary documentation and support for food safety and quality control.
- Issue Resolution: Develops effective solutions to address any identified quality or food safety compliance issues.
- Batch Data Maintenance: Monitors product batches, ensuring consistent quality, and maintains detailed batch data for traceability and future reference.
- Continuous Improvement: Works closely with production and management teams to continuously improve product quality and production processes.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Standards: Familiar with HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other relevant food safety and quality standards.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot product defects or deviations from specifications.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze issues and develop practical solutions for quality and food safety challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create detailed reports and effectively interact with internal teams and external auditors.
- Auditing Experience: Experience in coordinating and supporting external audits from regulatory bodies and certification providers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to meet production and quality demands.
