Quality Controller- Responsibilities – Bakery
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and Food audits of raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Perform sensory evaluations, chemical tests, and microbiological assessments.
- Record and analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Inspect Food packaging and labelling to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection findings.

- Prepare and present reports on quality performance and areas requiring attention.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and meets regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any non-conformities.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality awareness within the production team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and procurement teams to enhance product quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality control.
Training and Support
- Train and support production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting assistance to resolve quality-related issues.
- Foster a team-oriented environment focused on achieving quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Quality Controller must have a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the food or bakery industry, Bread, Croissant, pastries, Cakes etc. (Please Don’t apply without experience).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and quality management systems, HACCP Plan of Bakery.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in using quality control tools and ERP software.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
