A Lebanese bakery and baking company in Abu Dhabi UAE is looking for a Quality Control Officer with the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Food Safety Compliance:
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to food safety regulations and UAE municipality requirements, essential for a Quality Control Officer at a Bakery.
    • Monitor and analyze test results to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including HACCP and GMP principles.
  2. Laboratory Operations and Maintenance:
    • Manage laboratory infrastructure, ensuring all equipment operates at optimal conditions.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues or faults with laboratory equipment and processes as a Quality Control Officer in the Bakery sector would do.
  3. Quality Assurance of Products:
    • Verify the quality of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products against set standards, which is crucial for a Quality Control Officer in a Bakery.
    • Ensure portion sizes, product characteristics, and customer expectations align with internal and external quality benchmarks.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of quality assessments, audits, and corrective actions taken.
    • Prepare reports to document compliance and communicate findings to management.
  5. Customer Satisfaction:
    • Work to ensure products meet customer expectations for quality, taste, and value for money.
    • Collaborate with production and operations teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements, a key part of a role as a Quality Control Officer Bakery.

Job Qualifications

  1. Educational Background:
    • A bachelor’s degree in food technology, food science, microbiology, or a related field qualifies you as a quality control officer in bakery settings.
  2. Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in quality control within the food and beverage industry, preferably in the bakery or related sectors, perfect for a Quality Control Officer Bakery.
  3. Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and UAE municipality regulations.
    • Proficient in conducting audits, quality checks, and laboratory testing, skills of a good Quality Control Officer Bakery.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment and processes.
  4. Competencies:
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
    • Good communication and reporting skills.

  5. Certifications:
    • HACCP certification or equivalent is highly desirable for a Quality Control Officer Bakery role.
