A Fruit and Vegetable processing Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality Control Inspector with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect Incoming Shipments: Examine fruits and vegetables upon arrival to ensure they meet quality, size, and freshness criteria.
- Monitor Storage Conditions: Oversee temperature, humidity, and storage conditions to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness of Fruit and Vegetable.
- Conduct Regular Audits: Perform routine inspections throughout the supply chain, from packaging to distribution, ensuring quality control standards are upheld.
- Evaluate Samples: Test and evaluate product samples of Fruit and Vegetable for quality factors, including appearance, texture, and taste.
- Document Findings: Record inspection results, noting any defects or issues, and report findings to management for corrective action.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date with food safety standards and ensure all products comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Work closely with suppliers to address any quality concerns and ensure continuous improvement.
- Recommend Improvements: Provide feedback on how to enhance quality control processes and suggest improvements in handling and storage procedures.
- Quality Inspection and Calibration Management: Maintain instruments, records of calibrations, and supplies as needed to meet quality inspection requirements to ensure that company standards are met.
- Stock Handling: Perform routine quality and condition inspections on existing inventory to assist in first-in, first-out (FIFO) or worst-in, first-out (WIFO) stock rotation.
- Stock Rotation: Work closely with Production and Warehouse departments to ensure effective stock rotation to reduce shrinkage.
Job Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in Quality Control in the Fruit and Vegetable Sector.
- Strong knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including varieties, ripening stages, shelf life, and proper handling techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in food, Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with quality management software is a plus.
