A Food Products processing company in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Quality Control Inspector with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspection of raw materials (both food and packaging) at reception. Rejecting the non-conforming products (not conforming to Gyma standards), accepting conditionally if required after consulting his superior.
  • Inspection of new samples received from Procurement team and updating response of quality status of those samples.
  • Monitoring Temperature and relative humidity of the warehouse area and proper escalation upon any deviations.
  • To raise external Nonconformance for any serious safety and quality issues of the product.

  • Accountable for preventing any cross-contamination to the products while inspecting on inspection tray.
  • Preparation of food product inspection report with quality status and forwarding the report summary to purchase and warehouse on daily basis.
  • Communicating properly with warehouse staff and other Quality Controllers on status of conditionally accepted products requiring special treatment.
  • Scheduling & supervising of products’ fumigation activities when required.
  • Proper filling of records on time and proper documentation in the final files.
  • To arrange samples for DM inspection, hold the batch system wise until the results are fine.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the food industry, with a strong focus on the inspection of raw materials and packaging.

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in quality control practices, especially in inspecting raw materials and packaging.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP.
  • Understanding of temperature and relative humidity monitoring in storage environments.
  • Experience in identifying and addressing non-conformances and raising external nonconformance reports.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accurate inspection and reporting.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of materials based on quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with warehouse staff, procurement teams, and other quality controllers.

  • Competence in preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Capability to manage and supervise fumigation activities when necessary.
  • Proficiency in using digital systems for batch management and record-keeping.
