An Indian Food Products and Commodities Manufacturing FMCG in UAE is looking for a Quality Control Executive with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological testing to evaluate product safety and quality.
- Prepare detailed reports on test results, including analysis of quality, quantity, and composition.
- Compute formulas, percentages, and production-specific factors using chemical and mathematical procedures.
- Monitor product consistency by implementing and maintaining quality control procedures.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and other food safety standards.
- Identify and report any bacterial or non-desirable excess materials in products through microbiological testing.
- Monitor and ensure that packaging meets quality standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality control procedures and results for audits and regulatory purposes.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure the facility adheres to local UAE food safety regulations and global food industry best practices.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Maintain and update the corporate quality manual and related quality records.
- Monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance.
- Conduct root cause analysis to investigate non-conformities, product defects, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Review and report key reasons for quality loss and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure that check sheets and inspection logs are completed, with corrective actions properly recorded and signed off.
Audit & Coordination
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in internal and external quality audits conducted by regulatory bodies, customers, or third-party certification agencies.
- Work closely with R&D, production, procurement, and warehouse teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Train production and quality teams on best practices for food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure raw materials meet quality specifications before use in production.
Job Qualification
- BSc/MSc in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in the foodstuff industry, preferably in quality control, food safety, or quality assurance roles
- Hands-on experience in quality testing, microbiological analysis, and food product evaluation
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
- Experience with laboratory testing methods (physical, chemical, microbiological).
- Familiarity with food packaging quality standards and testing procedures
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and troubleshooting quality issues
- Ability to prepare detailed quality reports, graphs, and statistical charts
- Strong problem-solving skills to address product non-conformities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting quality checks and documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple departments
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under tight deadlines
- Experience in handling audits and inspections by regulatory authorities
