A catering company in Abu Dhabi UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer – Catering with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas and storage facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying potential hazards before they become issues.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols tailored specifically for restaurant and retail-warehouse operations, enhancing overall service delivery and product quality in catering contexts.
  • Train staff on quality standards, emphasizing the importance of hygiene and safety practices in both food handling and customer service.
  • Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring corrective actions are taken swiftly in our catering services.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that all ingredients and products meet the quality standards set by the organization, especially those used in catering.
  • Monitor inventory levels and storage conditions to prevent spoilage, waste, and contamination, maintaining efficient operational flow related to catering.
  • Oversee the execution of health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring a culture of safety and quality is ingrained in the workplace, particularly within catering roles.
  • Compile and maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and quality assurance reports for accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare for and facilitate external audits and inspections, ensuring that all documentation and practices are in line with regulatory standards.
  • Act as a liaison between management and staff, advocating for quality improvements and fostering a team-oriented approach to enhance service excellence in catering.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred to ensure a strong foundational knowledge that benefits our catering team.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance within the restaurant or retail sectors, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
  • Certifications in food safety and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO are highly regarded for ensuring expertise in compliance, which is critical for catering operations.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and quality control software is essential to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Strong analytical skills are necessary for interpreting data and making informed decisions based on quality metrics and customer feedback.
  • Excellent attention to detail is critical for identifying discrepancies and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed for effective collaboration and training, fostering a positive team environment focused on quality catering services.
