A Hospitality Group investment and management company in Dubai, UAE is hiring a Quality Assurance Officer with the following:
Responsibilities
- HACCP, Food Safety, and Personal Hygiene Standards Implementation: Ensuring adherence to HACCP, Food Safety, and Personal Hygiene standards to guarantee the safety of food products.
- Food Safety Management System Manual Creation: Development of a comprehensive food safety management system manual and standard procedures in alignment with both local regulations and internal guidelines.
- Supervision of Food Handlers: Overseeing food handlers, implementing structured systems, and regularly inspecting their practices to ensure strict adherence to good food and personal hygiene practices during food preparation.
- Internal Food Hygiene Audits: Conduct regular internal audits in all food preparation areas to maintain high standards of food hygiene.
- Training of Food Handlers: Providing essential food safety training to food handlers in accordance with local authority standards.
- Management of Daily Food Safety Activities: Overseeing day-to-day operations related to food safety and maintaining meticulous hygiene records.
- Monitoring and Verification of Food Handling: Continuously monitoring and verifying the handling, preparation, storage, transportation, and serving of food to ensure compliance with Food Safety & HACCP Rules & Regulations at all times.
- Supplier Audits for Food Approval: Conducting audits to approve food suppliers, ensuring they meet the required standards for food safety and hygiene.
Qualifications
- Hygiene Officer Work Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years experience as a Hygiene Officer in a hotel or large restaurant complex, preferably within the hotel industry, showcasing expertise in maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Effective Trainer in Skills Delivery: Skilled in delivering effective training sessions, enabling others to grasp and implement hygiene-related skills efficiently.
- Familiarity with Culinary Trends: Proficiently acquainted with current culinary trends and methodologies, ensuring the integration of updated practices into hygiene protocols.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Kitchen Hygiene: Profound understanding and expertise in kitchen hygiene practices and adherence to occupational health and safety standards with relevant certifications.
- Local Hygiene Standards Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of local hygiene standards and legislation governing hygiene practices.
- Certifications in Food Safety and Quality Management Systems: Proficient in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ensuring adherence to international standards.
- Expertise in Occupational Health and Safety Management: Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Environmental Management System Proficiency: Knowledgeable in ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) to uphold environmental standards and sustainability.
