An FMCG company producing different food products in Dubai, UAE is looking for Quality Assurance with the following:

Job Responsibilities

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and safety.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality assurance activities.
  • Prepare and present product quality reports, highlighting improvement areas and suggesting corrective actions.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, ISO, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Problem Solving and Improvement:

  • Identify and investigate product quality issues, conducting root cause analysis to determine the source of problems.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Training and Development:

  • Train production staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality assurance to improve processes continually.

Health and Safety:

  • Promote a workplace safety and hygiene culture, ensuring all quality assurance activities adhere to safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report any health and safety risks associated with product quality and processing.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry, preferably in a similar role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance methodologies, including HACCP, ISO, and GMP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software for data collection and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and train others.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • Certifications:Relevant certifications in quality assurance or food safety, such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or similar, are highly desirable.
