Catering Flight Services in Sharjah, UAE is looking for a Food – Quality Assurance Coordinator with the following:
Job Responsibilities
Food Safety Compliance:
- Evaluate, monitor, and ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions for Critical Control Points (CCPs) in catering and F&B outlets.
- Oversee the daily implementation and continuous improvement of company SOPs and Operational Pre-Requisite Programs (OPRPs) to maintain standards in catering flight services.
- Execute investigations related to product retention, recalls, traceability, foreign objects, and suspected food poisoning incidents, emphasizing preventive recommendations.
Audit & Quality Compliance (Food Safety & Product):
- Conduct internal and supplier audit inspections within catering units and F&B outlets.
- Ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards through weekly meal tastings, product weight verification, and daily quality checks at receiving to support excellent catering flight services.
- Verify and calibrate scales and thermometers per the in-house calibration schedule.
- Evaluate new product testing prior to introduction.
Cleaning & Maintenance (Hygiene) Compliance:
- Monitor in-house hygiene standards, including cleaning, sanitation, and pest control, in catering units and F&B outlets to ensure compliance with company standards.
Documentation Compliance:
- Maintain and update records related to:
- Food Safety (CCPs, SOPs, OPRPs)
- Reporting (supplier/customer non-conformance, daily reports, food wastage, temperature monitoring, foreign object tracker, laboratory reports, and special project feedback)
- Training (organizing and executing internal and external training sessions relevant to catering flight services)
Laboratory Compliance
- Conduct routine laboratory analyses of food, water, equipment, surfaces, hands, and environmental samples.
- Evaluate new product testing prior to introduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food and Catering Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field to qualify for roles in catering flight services.
- Level 3 Intermediate HACCP training certification.
- Level 4 Advanced Food Safety training certification.
