A Food and Beverage – Hospitality Group in Sharjah, UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Auditor with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review quality control daily reports to ensure compliance with set standards.
  • Schedule calibration and ensure laboratory instruments are accurately functioning.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and enforce ISO procedures across the organization.
  • Plan and improve QC procedures in line with product specifications, processes, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all materials used in production meet food-grade quality requirements.
  • Perform microbial analysis of raw, semi-finished, and finished goods.
  • Identify and analyze root causes affecting quality measures and implement corrective actions.
  • Handle customer complaints with special attention, coordinating with the Sales team.
  • Lead and manage customer audits, ensuring compliance with manufacturing processes, and submit required documentation to authorities.
  • Conduct essential training programs for employees and the food safety team.
  • Coordinate with production representatives in investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and record hygiene, cleanliness, sanitation, and temperature in the factory store, production area, surroundings, and vehicles daily.
  • Update and renew food handlers’ Occupational Health Cards (OHC) and Basic Field Training Courses (BFTC).
  • Ensure relevant training and competencies for the food safety team.
  • Identify training needs for all employees regarding quality-related training, conduct training sessions, and monitor performance for continuous improvement in quality.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in food processing, preservation, packaging technologies, and laboratory techniques.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and quality assurance procedures, including HACCP and other food safety systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data related to food quality, safety, and production processes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to troubleshoot production issues and develop solutions to improve processes and product quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for effective collaboration, report writing, and conveying technical information.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring product consistency, safety, and quality.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international food regulations and standards for compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food science, nutrition, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or restaurant industries.
  • Certifications: ISO 22000 Lead Auditor and Food Safety Level 4 qualifications are required.
  • Skills: Experience in PIC and HACCP is highly desirable.
  • Location: Only UAE-based candidates with relevant UAE experience are considered.
  • Additional: Preference for immediate joiners with a UAE driving license.
